Alternative Energy Solutions is a new company created in January 2006 in Victoria BC. Alternative Energy Solutions started with two employees and has expanded its workforce by 50% to accomodate phase 2 of the business plan. Altenative Energy Solutions currently has two products: DC to DC Boost Converters utilizing Zero Voltage Transition (ZVT) soft switching techniques and AC to DC Boost Rectifiers with ZVT soft switching techniques. These types of boost converters have endless applications, ranging from connecting various power generating sources such as wind turbines to a DC Bus or running low power DC drives from 110V AC power source. Both AES's AC to DC and DC to DC Boost Converters use soft switching techniques operating at efficiencies of 97% while traditional hard switched converters operate at efficiencies of around 91%. The choice is clear - choose AES products for your application.
