The Robotics and Mechanisms Laboratory has two RSI Research Spatial Joysticks. The RSI Joysticks are 6-DOF parallel manipulators. The RSI Joysticks contain nine joint-displacement sensors to allow exact determination of the forward displacement solution of the device. The original analog potentiometer joint-displacement sensors have been replaced on one of the RSI Joysticks with optical digital encoders.
