Description

Develops an understanding of place and practice of art in the elementary or middle school curriculum. Topics include a rationale for art education, theory about developmental stages, sensitivity to individual and cultural diversity, as well as lesson planning, wholistic assessment strategies and integration of art with other core subjects. Aims to develop students' own understandings, skills and confidence in creating art and in building general knowledge about art.
