Description

An overview of the development of oral language and the components of literacy that constitute language arts in the elementary or middle school. Strategies for addressing diverse learners are included. Indigenous worldviews are privileged. Literacy is examined as an element of wholistic child development. Multi-literacies are considered such as ecological and cultural literacies.
