POLI341 - The United Nations and Global Issues

Description

Examines the structure and functioning of the United Nations and its agencies as they address key contemporary global issues. Attention is paid to the practice of diplomacy in the UN, the secretariat and the roles of states and non-state actors. Issues may include human rights and humanitarian intervention, economic globalization and human development, climate change and other environmental problems, disarmament and health.
