SOCI281 - Sociology of Genders
Description
Introduction to sociological perspectives on genders. Examines both the gendering of everyday social interactions and the role of genders in structuring major social institutions. Topics may include the relation of genders to sexuality, bodies, work, race and ethnicity, sports, media, education, politics, violence, and/or other ways of organizing social interactions. Intersections between genders and other forms of social inequalities is considered.
