IED250 - Indigenous Language Teaching Preparation Seminar

Description

Prepares students for their first language practicum within the Diploma in Indigenous Language Revitalization. Provides an opportunity for students to orient themselves to the multiple roles and responsibilities of school personnel and community language practitioners. Students plan and prepare specifically for their upcoming placements through practice and development of lessons, unit planning, and linking outcomes to delivery and assessment for language teaching. Planning may be done in pairs as a co-teaching model when possible.

  • Credit will be granted for only one of IED 250, IED 287 (if taken in the same topic).

  • Registration in Diploma program in Indigenous Language Revitalization
