Description

A focus on reading development and instruction in the context of engaging learners in reading, viewing and using multiple forms of text in elementary and middle school classrooms. Theoretical perspectives on reading as well as societal and cultural factors which influence literacy development are examined. Strategies for addressing diverse needs of all learners and assessment of learning are explored.
