Introduces teaching in rural settings, focusing on the theoretical, curricular and pedagogical foundations to create a rewarding teaching experience and a meaningful learning environment for students in small, rural schools. Includes: defining rurality; urbanormativity; theories of justice; place-consciousness; the unique features of teaching and learning in rural spaces; the importance of relationships; living in small communities.​
