Description

Curriculum organization, instructional approaches and assessment practices in elementary or middle school social studies. Interdisciplinary examples are drawn from: anthropology, economics, gender studies, geography, history, political science and/or sociology, with emphasis on inquiry learning, community engagement, First Nations' Principles of Learning, participatory citizenship and social justice imperatives in a pluralistic society.
