Description

A survey of Chinese culture from the mid-19th century to the present. Contemporary culture patterns are placed in traditional perspective, while relevant political, economic and social contexts are also considered. Emphasizing the effects of modern events on cultural life, particularly literature, the arts, religion and education system.
