Description

An introduction to fundamental concepts of surveying and field work. This is an instrument-based course covering differential leveling, traversing, tachometry, GPS and their applications to field work.

Prerequisites

  • Complete all of the following
    • Complete all of:
      • GEOG222 - Introduction to Maps and GIS (1.5)
    • Complete 1 of the following
      • Complete all of:
        • GEOG226 - Introduction to Quantitative Methods in Geography (1.5)
      • 1.5 units minimum 200 level STAT or equivalent
    • minimum third-year standing.

Recommendations

  • 1.5 units of GEOG 100-level recommended prior to GEOG 325.
