EPHE143 - Multidisciplinary Foundations of Physical Activity

Description

Students are introduced to physical activity as applied to health, kinesiology, athletics, recreation, leisure and education, as well as the contributions made by the disciplines such as exercise and sport psychology, physical literacy, recreation, health promotion, sociology, motor behaviour, biomechanics and exercise physiology. Concepts are explored from scientific, applied and experiential perspectives. As well, key skills such as conducting literature searches and critiquing research articles are explored.
