Description

Students undertake a research project on a topic identified in partnership with an Indigenous community or organization. The project is supervised by a departmental instructor or the LE,NONET Experiential Learning Coordinator.

May be taken more than once for credit in different topics with permission of the program to a maximum of 4.5 units.

Prerequisites

  • Complete all of the following
    • Earned a minimum grade of B+ in 1 of:
      • IS301 - Critical Indigenous Theory (1.5)
      • IS310A - LE,NONET Preparation Seminar (1.5)
      • IS310B - Major Preparation Seminar (1.5)
      • IS350 - Methods, Ethics, Protocols (1.5)
    • Permission of the program
