Description

Examines successful negotiation skills, conflict management styles, goals and principles of positional and interest-based negotiation, the labour relations climate and bargaining in response to human resource issues such as equity and diversity, compensation, workplace safety and health and employee pensions. Topics include: negotiating compensation issues, discipline and grievance and developing a collective agreement. Coursework involves group participation in negotiating a workplace issue and participation in a labour-management simulation.
